Participants will be able to: describe the epidemiology of TB from a US and Mexico perspective; verbalize the transmission, pathogenesis and treatment of latent tuberculosis and TB disease in adults and children; express knowledge of TB drug interactions and toxicity; discuss laboratory issues; analyze the legal and ethical considerations of TB; explain the screening of immigrants and refugees for TB; and describe the components of TB program evaluation and management. |
