Specific Subjects Illustrate a “heightened consciousness” assessment model that offers a cultural capacity building baseline, a self-appraisal methodology for examining and confronting one’s own cultural reference and values system, and for “unlearning and relearning” helping approaches and skills, engagement “styles” and minimize or eliminate negative relational impact upon others.
Lead a self-empowerment activity to demonstrate how participants can examine one’s own cultural and social domains, degree of ethno /culture centrism and structural and environmental influences that can create barriers to effective service engagement.
Present a process model for retaining effectual self-reflection and engagement skills.
